All Chamber members in good standing and owning or managing a business, professional service, or personal service entity meeting the criteria of a small business as defined below are eligible for consideration provided they have been engaged in this line of endeavor in the Opelika area for a minimum of 24 months proceeding the date of submitting the “Small Business Award Application” and are members of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.

For purposes of this award, a “small business” is defined as: 1) A business having no more than the equivalent of 20 full-time employees including the manager and 2) The local representative, owner or manager, shall have the authority to make all major decisions relating to the operation of entity conducting business within the Opelika area.

Upon completion of this form, the nominated business will be considered for a Small Business of the Quarter award in the upcoming months.  Award recipients will receive recognition in the Opelika @Work newsletter and at the quarterly Business over Breakfast.  A sign will also be loaned to the business for display either on their vehicle or at their place of business.  This sign is property of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce and must be returned to the Chamber at the end of the quarter.
