Ambassador Committee

Purpose is to assist the Membership Director and Chamber staff in developing new members and retaining existing members. This committee attends, assists and promotes Chamber events.

Business Marketing Committee

Purpose is to provide or facilitate educational programs of interest for membership, to inform the membership on member benefits and services and to assist in advancing workforce development.

Education Committee

Purpose is to coordinate and offer educational events combining area high school students and local industry to assist in workforce development.

Public Relations Committee

Purpose is to review effectiveness of Chamber publications and to insure proper distribution of Chamber publications.

Governmental Affairs Committee

Purpose is to keep membership informed of relevant business issues.

Economic Development Committee

Purpose is to assist the City of Opelika’s Economic Development Department in economic development and to insure City of Opelika Contract is implemented properly.

Finance Committee

Purpose is to assist in preparation with annual Chamber operating budget, to provide advice on capital improvements, to assist in Chamber Executive Annual Review, to provide advice on City of Opelika Contract, to assist in raising funds for the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.

Nominating Committee

Purpose is to select and present qualified candidates for the Opelika Chamber Board of Directors.
