Opelika Chamber of Commerce and the AU Small Business Development Center to Host Community Express Loan Clinics
Opelika, AL - (November 1, 2006) - The Opelika Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center at Auburn University will host several Community Express Loan Clinics free to the public on Tuesdday, November 14, 2006.
The clinics will be held hourly at 11 a.m., 12 noon and 1 p.m. Designed for small businesses with less than 500 employees, the presentations will help potential borrowers understand the parameters and application process of the Community Express Loan program. This program sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, allows qualified start-up companies to obtain up to $65,000 and businesses in operation for two or more years, to borrow up to $125,000. Collateral is not required for these loans.
“The Small Business Administration is eager to work with local small businesses that might not otherwise be able to obtain funding for their endeavors. The Opelika Chamber of Commerce looks forward to co-hosting this valuable clinic with the SBA,” noted Wendi Routhier, president of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.
